Program of Master in Architecture Study Program (PMPSA) has been offered since the 1991/1992 academic year by the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada, based on the decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 69/DIKTI/Kep/1990, dated August 30, 1990. Currently, the Master Program in Architecture Study Program has received “Excellent” Accreditation from BAN-PT with the number 5912/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/M/IX/2024.
Since its development in 1992, the Master Program in Architecture Study Program has established two concentrations, namely the Built Environment Design Concentration (1998) and the Tourism Architecture Concentration (2003). In early 2021, the Built Environment Design Concentration became an independent study program under the name Master of Urban Design. Currently, under the 2022 curriculum, the Master Program in Architecture Study Program offers four programs: Architecture, Architecture Design Concentration, Tourism Architecture Concentration, and Master by Research.
The graduate profiles produced by the Master Program in Architecture Study Program are:
1) Academics in the field of Architecture;
2) Architecture researchers who develop architectural knowledge and/or support design practices;
3) Architecture professionals supported by strong research approaches.
To achieve the expected graduate profiles and based on the existing curriculum structure, applicants eligible to enroll in the Master Program in Architecture Study Program are graduates of bachelor’s programs from various study programs that have substantive relevance to engineering, physical form, or spatial fields.
